    • Asked to consider psychological actions in familiar contexts, rather than “ abstract, context free” circumstances like “choose red or green.”
    • Being treated as an individual by the Singer-Loomis Report with highly specific results, rather than simply a member of a personality type—where all members of the Type are described as if they were the same.
  • Results Provided in Singer-Loomis Report
    • Highly individualized results based on psychological scales.
    • A new comprehensive visual—Type Mode Profile™ –that incorporates the scores of all concepts.
    • Emphasis on how the personality functions.
    • New more individualized basis for Psychological Type based on simple and transparent rules.
    • Singer-Loomis Psychological Type can serve as a bridge between traditional 16 Types and the new, wholistic Type Mode ProfileTM.
  • New Role for Provider
    • Coach client in how to use Singer-Loomis results in her or his life.
    • Show client how she or he:
      • Usually forms perceptions and judgments
      • Usually invests in introverting and extroverting
      • Usually emphasizes Sensing, Intuiting, Thinking and Feeling.
      • Is influenced overall by eight different factors and the relative influence of each.
    • Use the Singer-Loomis Type™ as a bridge to the Type Mode Profile™.
    • Show how the client is a relatively unique member of one of the traditional Psychological Types.
  • Core Assumptions of the Singer-Loomis
    • Personality is a product of Nature (biology) and Nurture (experiences with environment)—rather than one or the other.
    • Psychological change (individuation) is normal and on-going throughout life.
    • Measurement, quantitative information about magnitude expression of a concept, is preferable to categorical assignment, forced choice between pairs of global concepts.
    • Consistency of data collection is important—all items of an inventory should be similar in form and be keyed to a specific situation.
    • Assumptions need to be minimized and made as transparent as possible.
  • Design of the Inventory
    • New focus of measurement—the extraverted and introverted expression of each of Carl Jung’s Four Functions = eight Type Modes
    • Independent Variables—each Type Mode treated as if independent of the other seven Type Modes.
    • Measurement based on five-point scale, rather than forced choice.
    • Highly consistent measurement with all eight core variables measured in the same twenty different situations.
    • Scoring process greatly simplified by elimination of complex formula required by traditional bi-polar model.
    • All information acquired from client’s responses is incorporated, nothing is discarded or ignored.
  • What the Type Mode Profile™ and Singer-Loomis Report™ Shows
    • How introverted and extraverted Sensing and Intuiting contribute to Perceiving.
    • How introverted and extraverted Thinking and Feeling contribute to Judging.
    • How introverted Sensing, Intuiting, Thinking and Feeling contribute to Introverting.
    • How extraverted Sensing, Intuiting, Thinking and Feeling contribute to Extraverting.
    • How much introverting and extraverting contributes to each Type Function (Sensing, Intuiting, Thinking and Feeling).
    • How much and what kind of influence the introverted and extraverted expression of the four Functions has on the overall personality.
