Team Applications
Teamwork and Typology™ Three Modules for Promoting Team Effectiveness |
This application of the SL-TDI is based on the idea that team effectiveness depends on 3 key areas of performance: (A) Timely, high quality delivery of what is expected by key stakeholders in the environment, (B) well articulated relationships within the team that capitalize on the strengths and compensate for limitations of the overall team and individual team members and, finally, (C) achievement goals that address stakeholder’s expectations and are within the practical reach of the team’s compatibility.
Because consultants vary in when they like to address each of these areas, Teamwork and Typology consists of three separate workbooks. The team building can begin with either Module A or Module B—depending on the consultant’s assessment of what would be best for the team.

Reviewing this information enables appreciation of levels of Type Mode usage by individuals and overall patterns of usage within the team. This information, when coupled with relevant work experience, can help insure each individual’s strengths are used by the team. The same information can also help with planning task relevant development opportunities for team members. Questions such as “In relation to a specific team goal, is there too great an emphasis on introverted thinking and not enough on extraverted feeling?” can be discussed and addressed. Individuals whose strengths are not being capitalized upon can be identified. (8 pp.) (Print only)
